The Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1986 for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs. With wide-ranging services and programmes, ASME strives to equip member SMEs with the business knowledge and market opportunities to help them grow their businesses.
ASME, as the champion of a pro-enterprise Singapore, bridges the public and the private sectors to promote a more conducive business environment which facilitates the start-up, growth and development of a larger pool of SMEs. The two ASME flagship awards — The Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Singapore Prestige Brand Award are in recognition of SMEs’ successes.

Founded on 25 August 1993 as the Selangor and Federal Territory Mould and Die Association (SAFTMDA), the association changed its name to the Malaysia Mould and Die Association (MMADA) on 13 September 2001.
As more related metalworking and engineering supporting industries acknowledged our association, we gradually expanded our operations to improve our members services, effective 25 August 2017 our association was officially change to “MALAYSIAN SPECIAL TOOLING AND MACHINING ASSOCIATION” (MSTMA).
MSTMA will continue to operate in its current structure as a national body representing companies which are involved in metalworking and engineering supporting industries, especially those associated with mould and die, the precision tooling technology, and the machining sectors.
